The south east region motorway archive: records, [1960] - 2007 were deposited by Philip Lee of Warnham, West Sussex, Regional Co-ordinator, South East Region, on behalf of The Motorway Archive Trust, in March 1999 and February 2003. Further deposit by Paul Taylor in September 2007. There are no access restrictions.

The SHC Reference for this collection is 6594 and the details of the material deposited are available on this website under the individual scheme descriptions. These schemes identified by a unique letter reference, and the individual items have a number within this letter. Each description includes the name of the person who donated the particular item to the Motorway Archive. The date shown in the third column is the actual or estimated date of creation of the record. The date given within the description is the date the item was donated to the Motorway Archive. Many of the records contain a covering note written at the time of donation of the record giving general background information on its origin.  The non scheme-specific general information is available by clicking on this address.

Item reference 6594/B1 is an 8mm film. This has been transferred to the South East Film and Video Archive who have the specialist accommodation necessary for archive storage of film media. SEFVA have provided us with a video copy of the film for viewing here at the History Centre, which is held under the same reference number.

There are a substantial number of other motorway references that fall outside the Motorway Archive deposit.  Simply enter "motorway" in the search box at the address shown above.
